What you get
A layout planned before anything is cut
I map the ceiling first - beams, ducts, existing wiring, and the furniture below - then mark the holes. Even spacing, square to the room.
Good quality LED lights
Slim fixtures where you can pick the shade of white at install, from warm and warm to bright and clean.
Tidy wiring above the ceiling
The part nobody sees, done properly, so it's safe and easy for the next person to work on.

The layout is the whole job
Anyone can cut holes in a ceiling. What separates good recessed lighting from bad is where the holes go.
Ceilings have beams, heating ducts, and pipes running through them, and the easy thing to do is put the lights wherever there's space. That's why you see rooms with lights slightly off-center or in a crooked line.
I plan it around the room instead - squared to the walls, even spacing, and light where you actually need it.
Picking the shade of light
Modern LEDs let you choose the shade of white when they go in. Warmer light feels warm in a living room. Cooler, brighter light is better in a kitchen or garage where you need to see clearly.
I set them all to match. Mismatched lights in one ceiling is the single most common thing I get called to fix.
Common questions
How many lights does my room need?
It depends on the ceiling height, the room size, and what you use the room for. I'll work it out with you when I quote rather than guessing from a formula.
Will you patch the ceiling?
The cut for a slim light is neat and the trim covers it. If I need to open something bigger, I'll tell you before I cut and be honest about whether you'll need a drywall finisher after me.
Can I put them on a dimmer?
If the lights are dimmable - most I install are - then yes, and I'd recommend it. I match the dimmer to the lights so you don't get flicker or buzzing when they're low.
Can you replace my old can lights with these?
Usually yes, and it's a quick job. If the existing ones are damaged or the wrong type, I'll say so.
Does a vaulted or insulated ceiling change things?
Yes - it changes which fixture is right and how much space it needs. I check what's above the ceiling before I pick.
Why most people dread hiring an electrician

I buy better materials than the job calls for.

They leave a mess.
I clean up after myself.
They might be underinsured or unlicensed.
I carry proper insurance and licensing.
They may have a criminal history.
I'm background checked with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
They charge by the hour, so you don't know what you'll actually pay.
I quote a flat price, and I stick to it.
They send whoever's available - often an apprentice.
I do every job myself.
They sell you as much as they can, even if you don't need it.
I want to earn your business for the long-term.
I take pride in doing it right, the first time.
